The HBM400ALU-Z aluminium band saw is consistently designed for the cost-effective, high-performance cutting of aluminium and non-ferrous metals. It enables maximum cutting speeds whilst reducing cycle times, thereby meeting the demands of modern series production.

The optimised machine design and the use of a thin saw blade significantly minimise the kerf and material loss. This ensures stable processes, conserves resources and sustainably improves efficiency.

Short non-productive times and fast, parallelised processes further increase overall output in the production process. The enclosed machine housing, with a direct connection to extraction systems, ensures clean processes and a high level of operational safety – enabling reproducible cutting quality in aluminium processing

  • High cutting performance
    Cutting speeds of up to 3,000 m/min ensure maximum performance when cutting aluminium. Practical examples show that a round bar with a diameter of 300 mm can be cut in just 10 seconds – ensuring maximum productivity in series production.

  • Optimised material clamping
    The dual vertical unit ensures secure and precise clamping of the aluminium bolts. Thanks to the independently movable units, the feed gripper can move particularly close to the saw blade – resulting in minimal off-cut lengths and optimum material utilisation.

  • High process reliability
    The centred flow of round bolts via the prismatic roller conveyor, in conjunction with the optimised peripheral equipment, ensures stable and controlled processes and guarantees consistent, reliable production.

  • Long tool life
    The pronounced angle of the band wheels significantly reduces the bending and alternating loads on the saw band. This makes it possible to combine high cutting speeds with long tool life – and to reduce tooling costs in the long term.

  • Short cycle times​
    Maximum speed in the process: the innovative machine concept enables dynamic and parallel axis movements. Non-productive times are reduced to a minimum – ensuring consistently fast and highly productive sawing operations.

  • High-Performance Band Guide
    Newly developed, large-diameter guide rollers ensure stable and precise band guidance. Centralised lubrication and sealed bearings guarantee a long service life and minimal maintenance.

  • Material savings
    The thin saw blade significantly reduces the cutting channel compared with circular saws. This significantly reduces the volume of chips produced – a key advantage in terms of cost-effectiveness, particularly for high production volumes.

  • Flexibility with material diameters​
    Bandsaws offer maximum flexibility when dealing with varying material dimensions. Different diameters can be processed without changing the saw blade or incurring additional set-up times – ensuring continuous, efficient sawing operations.

  • Quick saw band change
    The saw band can be changed much more quickly than a conventional circular saw blade. The tool-free change can be carried out by a single person and reduces downtime to a minimum.

  • Energy-efficient
    The use of modern drive technology significantly reduces energy consumption. The narrow cutting channel and the lower chip removal per tooth further reduce power requirements – ensuring overall efficient and resource-saving saw operation.

  • Efficient extraction and clean processes
    The machine enclosure is designed as standard for high-performance chip extraction. Sealed covers and designated air extraction points enable the targeted collection of chips, dust and oil mist. This ensures that the materials are collected precisely and discharged directly – for clean working conditions and reliable sawing operations.​
