    Post-treatment

The finishing touch for your casting

We think the process through to the end and offer surface treatment, heat treatment and mechanical processing from a single source.

Post-processing of grey and ductile iron castings is crucial to ensure the highest quality and performance. Sandblasting, annealing and priming are combined with mechanical processing methods such as milling and turning to achieve an optimal surface and structure. These processes improve not only the aesthetic characteristics but also the functional integrity of the parts. Comprehensive quality assurance is essential to ensure that the machined castings meet the strict standards and specified requirements before they are put into use.

Surface treatment

Deburring, sandblasting and painting

In the fettling shop, the raw castings go through the sandblasting system. Large workpieces are processed in the overhead conveyor blasting system, small cast products in the troughed conveyor blasting system. They are deburred, risers and gates are removed and can then be primed by us. Our employees' many years of experience in deburring ensure visually appealing castings.

Cutting and fettling stations

  • Deburring the cast parts using hand tools
  • Cutting off gates and risers

Troughed belt blasting system

  • for small and medium-sized castings
  • up to 50 kg piece weight

Overhead conveyor blasting system

  • for parts over 50 kg

Heat treatment

Reducing stresses in the workpiece

The annealing furnace is used to reduce stresses in the structure. During thermal post-treatment, the casting is heated to a certain temperature and then slowly cooled down. This allows the atoms and molecules in the metal to rearrange themselves and achieve more stable structures.

  • Low-stress or soft annealing
  • up to max. 920°C
  • Batch weight up to 2000 kg
  • Max size: 2500x2500x1500 mm

Mechanical processing

Turning, milling or drilling - machining from a single source

As a leading manufacturer of sawing machines, we have many years of experience in the production of ready-to-install cast components. We offer a wide range of machining services on CNC-controlled automatic lathes and milling machines to meet your requirements.

  • State-of-the-art horizontal and vertical CNC machining centres and CNC turning cells
  • Production from pre-processing to complex products
  • Dimensional accuracy in the μ range
  • High-precision, ready-to-install cast parts are ready for immediate use

Quality assurance

Quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001

The manufacture of high-quality products requires continuous monitoring of the production process - from the raw materials to the finished casting. We ensure consistent quality by testing mechanical parameters and chemical analyses. Our commitment to quality is reflected in ongoing investment in modern equipment, the continuous optimisation of production processes and quality management and the training of our employees in accordance with the latest standards.

  • Tensile test
  • Notched bar impact bending test
  • Microstructure testing
  • Hardness testing
  • Ultrasonic testing
  • Measuring arm
  • Preparation of works and acceptance certificates

Painting

High-quality painting for long-lasting protection

Professional painting of your cast part protects it from external influences and makes it more resistant. Painting cast parts in our own paint booth can be carried out under ideal conditions. You have the choice between simply priming the cast product or painting it in the colour of your choice, ready for installation.

Your advantages

  • Corrosion protection
  • Longer durability and service life
  • Painting in the desired colour (within the RAL system)
