A strong brand at Behringer

Between 1933 – 1944 EISELE KG in Köngen was founded by Christian Eisele, who, in the early years, mainly carried out contract orders on used machine tools together with one employee. The first patented sawing machine, type MS I with round shaft guide was developed in 1954 and presented at the Hanover trade fair for the first time. As the trade fair was a success, the company was gradually expanded.

In 1958 the VMS vertical circular saw was launched and went on to become the most successful EISELE series with over 250,000 machines sold to date.

The company enjoyed further success with the expansion of the new office/administration building and a production plant in 1965. EISELE machines have been successfully sold in 66 countries around the world and more than 15,000 machines were already in circulation. A complete production facility was purchased for horizontal and vertical bandsaw machines in 1975 and the company BAMA-Eisele was founded. The bandsaw business was not successful.

In 1977 the company’s own branch offices were founded: The Eisele Corp. in Elk Grove, Chicago USA and EISELE-France in St.-Louis. The first fully-automatic VA 0-H circular saw with electronic positioning control and transfer station was shipped in 1981.

In 2001 Behringer took over the well-known traditional company Eisele, which was in difficulty. Renamed Behringer Eisele GmbH, the company along with its range of machines and production  was restructured and modernised.

Today Behringer Eisele ranks as a global leader in circular saw technology. With Behringer Eisele, Behringer has the solution for every sawing task.

Leading the way again for circular saws.

How has the Eisele brand made a comeback?
If we look back at the company’s history, we can see many years of continuity across all the series. Over 250,000 VMS series machines are in use worldwide and even today, up to 400 machines are sold each year. Customers know what Eisele is about – specialist knowledge, expertise and also authenticity and the many years of experience of a traditional company in the sawing industry. This brand resonates and has a great deal of potential – you just have to know what needs to be tackled. Today, Behringer Eisele defines itself as a technology leader. The HCS and VA-L series, in particular, are modern, established high-performance machine concepts for steel, aluminium and non-ferrous metals. Their ongoing development continues to set benchmarks in the field of high-performance circular saws around the world.

What do you think about Industry 4.0?

At Behringer Eisele, we regard ourselves as a driving force in the sector. We strive to create a transparent, reproducible sawing process which we are able to monitor and analyse as far as possible in real time, through the use of powerful, environmentally friendly and efficient drive concepts and innovative control modules.

What is your source of motivation at Behringer Eisele?
When we develop a new machine, our main aim is to inspire and convince our customers and the market for our idea, without forgetting to be economical. Economical not just for our customers, but also for ourselves. That is what motivates me at Behringer Eisele.
