Production band saw HBE560A Performance
High performance when it matters!
The high-performance industrial saw HBE560A Performance is designed for demanding applications in steel trade, industry and metal production. Its heavy, robust design, use of the latest servo technology and its precise guide system provide the prerequisites for economical use of carbide and bi-metal saw blades. Especially when cutting tool steels, stainless steels or high-alloy materials, the production band saw HBE560A Performance shows its strengths.
- Sensitive Behringer cutting pressure control
increases the cutting performance when sawing tubes and profiles, as it automatically adapts the saw feed of the machine to the changing material cross-sections. Due to the arrangement directly at the back of the blade, the system regulates quickly and precisely.
- Countering the shortage of skilled labour
Optimum sawing results WITHOUT prior knowledge of the operator.
- Increase your output
Significantly increased cutting performance thanks to dynamic sawing process (up to 50% depending on material).
- Wide range of materials - no problem
The extensive material database even takes tempering or electro-slag remelting (ESR) into account.
- Scalable production
The sawing know-how is in the machine control system. This allows you to easily adapt your production to changing requirements.

The HBE560A Performance was developed for demanding sawing applications in the steel trade, metal production, and manufacturing industries. Thanks to its robust machine design, high process reliability, and efficient machining of high-alloy materials, it is particularly well suited for tool and die makers, general mechanical engineering companies, stainless steel processors, and businesses in the energy and metals sectors.
Companies that regularly cut tool steels, stainless steels, and other demanding alloys benefit from the machine’s high cutting performance, long blade life, and reliable operation.
The HBE560A Performance utilises band-guiding components made from grey cast iron, which are manufactured in Behringer’s own foundry. Thanks to their high damping effect, they reduce vibrations directly at the band guide and lay the foundation for a smooth, precise sawing process. Together with the heavy, torsionally rigid machine structure and the precise gantry-style guide system, stress on the saw blade is effectively reduced.
The servo feed system with ball screw and the sensitive cutting pressure control continuously adjust the feed rate to the actual cutting conditions. This prevents load peaks, protects the saw blade and extends its service life. The result is lower tooling costs, high process reliability and cost-effective machining of demanding materials.
Yes. The HBE560A Performance has been developed for demanding sawing applications in industry and metalworking, and really comes into its own when cutting high-alloy materials. Thanks to its heavy-duty, low-vibration machine structure, precise gantry guidance, adaptive cutting pressure control and the cost-effective use of modern carbide saw bands, it is ideally suited to materials that are difficult to machine, such as titanium and nickel-based alloys.
Typical applications include, amongst others, titanium alloys such as Ti-6Al-4V and nickel-based materials such as Inconel® 625, Inconel® 718 or Hastelloy®. These materials place high demands on both the tool and the machine, but benefit from the HBE560A Performance’s high process stability and precision.
In combination with the automatic cutting data calculation (AFC) and the selection of the appropriate band saw blade, the machine enables high cutting performance whilst ensuring a long tool life and the cost-effective machining of demanding materials.
For large material diameters, a band saw is often the more cost-effective solution. The significantly narrower kerf means less material is turned into chips, thereby reducing material consumption and process costs. At the same time, less material needs to be machined, which reduces energy consumption. Thanks to modern carbide-tipped saw bands, high-performance band saws now achieve significantly higher cutting rates and, in many applications, come closer to the throughput of a circular saw than was the case just a few years ago.
The HBE560A Performance combines these advantages with a heavy-duty, low-vibration machine structure, a precise servo feed system and vibration-damping band guide components made of grey cast iron. This enables even large solid workpieces to be machined reliably and economically. The reduced material loss quickly pays for itself, particularly when machining high-quality tool steels, stainless steels and other cost-intensive materials.
A high-performance band saw such as the HBE560A Performance is particularly beneficial for large material cross-sections, demanding materials, and high cutting volumes. Its rigid machine design, precise servo downfeed system, and efficient use of modern carbide saw blades enable tool steels, stainless steels, and other high-alloy materials to be cut both efficiently and reliably. The funnel-shaped machine base combined with high-capacity scraper or hinged chip conveyors ensures reliable chip removal, even at high cutting rates. At the same time, the narrow kerf reduces material loss and improves overall operating efficiency.
The HBE560A Performance has been specially developed for machining tool steels, stainless steels and other high-alloy materials. Its heavy, torsionally rigid machine structure, the precise gantry-type guide system and the grey cast iron components manufactured in Behringer’s own foundry ensure a low-vibration sawing process and high cutting accuracy. The servo feed system with ball screw and the sensitive cutting pressure control precisely adjust the feed rate to the respective cutting conditions. This protects the saw blade and the machine, extends service life and enables even demanding materials to be machined cost-effectively.
