The high-performance automatic saw HBE1060A Performance is designed for demanding use in the steel trade, manufacturing and metal production. Used for cutting large pipes or solid materials made of steel, plastic or high-alloy materials, they impress with precise and powerful cuts and easy material handling. The HBE1060A Performance is extremely robustly built for rough operation. While fully enclosed and complying with current safety standards, the industrial saw offers good accessibility and special features for single cuts.

The HBE1060A Performance utilises band-guiding components made from grey cast iron, which are manufactured in Behringer’s own foundry. Thanks to their high damping effect, they reduce vibrations directly at the band guide and lay the foundation for a smooth, precise sawing process. Together with the heavy, torsionally rigid machine structure and the precise gantry-style guide system, stress on the saw blade is effectively reduced.
The servo feed system with ball screw and the sensitive cutting pressure control continuously adjust the feed rate to the actual cutting conditions. This prevents load peaks, protects the saw blade and extends its service life. The result is lower tooling costs, high process reliability and cost-effective machining of demanding materials.
The HBE1060A Performance increases productivity when cutting large material cross-sections through high cutting performance, short idle times and a robust design for demanding continuous operation. Even heavy solid materials, tubes and profiles can be processed accurately and economically. The exceptionally rigid machine construction, precise portal-type guide system and automatic cutting pressure control ensure high process reliability and long blade life.
A key contribution to throughput is provided by AFC Pro. By dynamically adjusting cutting speed and feed rate to the actual cutting conditions, the full performance potential of the saw blade can be utilised. Particularly with large material cross-sections, this enables significantly higher cutting performance and noticeably shorter cutting times. The servo-driven feed system and efficient chip removal further minimise non-productive time and maximise throughput.
The HBE1060A Performance reduces the cost per cut through the combination of high cutting performance, long blade life and short idle times. Its robust machine design, precise portal-type guide system and automatic cutting pressure control ensure a smooth cutting process and protect the saw blade, even when processing large material cross-sections. In addition, the servo-driven feed system provides exceptionally consistent and precise feed movement. Especially when cutting large solid materials, this contributes significantly to consistent cut quality, reduced tool wear and extended blade life.
A major contribution to economic efficiency is made by AFC (Auto-Feed-Control). After selecting the material from the integrated material database, the machine automatically determines the optimum cutting speed and feed rate. This prevents incorrect settings and ensures that the saw blade always operates under ideal conditions. The result is high cutting performance, longer tool life and more economical sawing operations.
For large material diameters, a band saw is often the more cost-effective solution. The significantly narrower kerf means less material is turned into chips, thereby reducing material consumption and process costs. At the same time, less material needs to be machined, which reduces energy consumption. Thanks to modern carbide-tipped saw bands, high-performance band saws now achieve significantly higher cutting rates and, in many applications, come closer to the throughput of a circular saw than was the case just a few years ago.
